Sunset Point, Superb Bocas del Toro Real Estate: Setting the standard

Sunset Point, Bocas del Toro Real Estate

Bocas del Toro Real Estate: The Sunset Point development is situated on the island of Colón (Isla Colón) in the Bocas del Toro archipelago, and is a waterfront resort community of over 100 single-family homes. These are being built around two custom-built canals (the only other canals to be built in Panama in recent years).

See some large images of the Sunset Point Development.

As for quality, Sunset Point is perhaps the foremost example of a master-planned community on the Caribbean side of Panama: built to the highest standards, situated on a large coral reef directly fronting Almirante Bay, completely private and secure, yet only 20 miles from the Costa Rican border, and ten mintues from Bocas town and airport.

And just around the corner, minutes away, is mile upon mile of pristine beach ... yet only ten minutes (by boat or road) from the main town (and airport), Bocas del Toro.

Sunset Point: unique in Panama real estate.

Prime Bocas Real Estate

Set on Isla Colón in the Bocas del Toro achipelago, Sunset Point has been built to exacting standards - and in an exceptional waterfront location: deep-water access (the protected marina will accept yachts of up to 150 feet), an extensive coral reef fronting the development (in fact, part of the development is actually built on old coral), and access to the local town (only ten minutes, by boat or car). Despite possessing these wonderful features, Sunset Point is also completely private (being protected by thick mangroves to the front and rainforest to the rear). Turn the corner, by boat or car, and you simply won't know it's there.

Construction Update.

Sunset Point Construction Update

June 2008: housing materials delivery. Mainland deliveries - Panamanian style! A typical large Panamanian truck, ferried across for the mainland, delivers reinforcing rods and cement for the first houses on the development.

Canal Completion: May 2008. The final section of our canal system is slated to be completed in the next month. This includes finishing the excavation and using the 8,000 cubic yards of excavated material to complete the road system.

Road Completion: As the canal progresses we use the excavated material for the bay front road (servicing lots 1-14). This road is scheduled for completion in the next three months. Starting in the next few weeks machines will arrive on site to grade and compact all our roads in preparation for asphalt.

Electricity Services: The final piece to the utilities puzzle will fall into place within the next 60 days. Sunset Point has taken the initiative and agreed with our electricity provider, Union Fenosa, to run underground cables throughout the community. Once cables are completed we expect service to be active within 60 days.

Panama's Other Canals.

Bocas del Toro Real Estate: Panama's Other Canals

Sunset Point Bocas has the only other canals to be built in Panama in recent memory. And, whilst not 50 miles long, or regarded as the eighth wonder of the world, we did spend over eight million dollars in their construction (along with other utilities). Which, for the owners of the 60 canal-front lots, will be money very well spent.

Overlooking coral reefs: When you have a development where there are over a dozen waterfront homes looking out over one of the longest stretches of coral reef in the area, you know you're somewhere a little special.

Private boat slips: Not only does each canal-front residence come with a private, protected boat slip, but a 5-star boutique hotel will provide onsite restaurants, an infinity beach pool, plunge pools and full spa services. Also the 209-slip marina will be fully available to residents.
